BLK ACCELERATION MOVEMENT

In 2019 the 400 Foundation was birthed to memorialize the 400th Anniversary of Slavery as a political and economic system in North America, and to reengage the dormant faith community, to exercise our collective numerical power as a political and economic bloc.

We aim to hold elected officials, the business community, and legacy organizations accountable for the fact that in many Black communities across the nation, inequity and injustice continue to go unchecked under the watch of those who claim to have our best interest at heart. The 400 Foundation, Inc. says enough is enough, and after 400 years the time for holistic change is now!

After 18 months of planning and organizing within the faith based community, we are launching the BLK Acceleration Movement against the backdrop of extreme racial disparities in infection and mortality due to COVID-19, and the ongoing slaughter of Black Bodies across America.

The BLK Acceleration Movement is a multi-sector response to the long-standing BLK Equity Gap. We are a community of Change Agents - Advocates, Allies, Organizations, and Institutions - united by the common purpose of accelerating the social and economic equity of BLK people and communities of color across the nation.

The BLK Acceleration Movement will work relentlessly to dismantle the racist culture, systems, and structures, while building equitable alternatives through a centralized and sustained investment in Black Lives, Black Livelihoods, and Black Love.
